Community Outreach
CJ ReGives Program
Started in 2011, the CJ ReGives program provides support to local social service, environmental and art focused nonprofits through the donation of building material and furniture.
Volunteering at CJ
Volunteers help us with extra cleaning and sorting of donated items, cleaning around the parking lot and green spaces, or assisting on the day of our Steel City Big Pour fundraiser.
Facility Tours
Your school or organization can schedule a behind the scenes tour and learn more about material reuse, job training, and our recycling partners.
Most tours are about 30-45 minutes in length. When scheduling a tour of CJ, you might want to make a day of it and talk with our good friends at PCCR to see their facility as well.

Collection Events
Construction Junction’s donation trucks are present at various community organized collection events in order to assist those who are interested in donating materials without having to travel to our Point Breeze location.
Workshops & Classes at CJ
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 all workshops or classes here at Construction Junction have been cancelled or postponed.
Fundraising
Construction Junction holds our annual fundraiser event, The Steel City Big Pour, here at our warehouse each September. Beginning in 2007, our beer and food sampling event has been attended each year by over 2000 guests and 70+ vendors. The two 3-hour sessions also feature local artists and merchants, live music, and more. The money raised by the Big Pour is used to fill in operational funding gaps, provide budgetary assistance to our deconstruction and job training programs, invest in organizational expansion and on-site improvements.
