Winter Tree ID walk in Homewood Cemetery

Want to know more about the trees around you? Learn basic tree iden­ti­fi­ca­tion skills with Tree Pittsburgh’s Cer­ti­fied Arborists by inves­ti­gat­ing the leaves, bark, and more. Join us for a win­ter morn­ing walk through his­toric Home­wood Ceme­tery in Point Breeze to dis­cov­er the bark, buds, and branch struc­ture of win­ter. We will focus on many dif­fer­ent conifer species at this walk.

Cost is $10 (There is a cred­it card pro­cess­ing fee if you pay online, no fee if you reg­is­ter and pay with a check)

Space is lim­it­ed to 15 par­tic­i­pants.

This 2 hour walk is geared for adults and not appro­pri­ate for chil­dren under 16 (please no pets)

Tree Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Walks count toward both Penn State and Phipps Mas­ter Gar­den­er Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Con­tin­u­ing Edu­ca­tion Cred­its.
