Greetings Reuse fans,
As an environmental nonprofit, CJ has an important mission to promote reuse. We have worked diligently over the years to look for partnerships that maximize the impact of reuse. But sometimes events cause you to look inward to see the impact an organization has on the people who work within it.
Last Wednesday was Daniel Menges’ last day at Construction Junction. Daniel had been an employee of CJ for nearly 6 years. During his time with us he did a wide variety of jobs; his final was as CJ’s warehouse manager. While at CJ, Daniel completed a Master’s Program in nonprofit management at the Heinz School at CMU. He is leaving CJ to work for eiNetwork, a nonprofit tech company that supports the county’s libraries. Daniel credits his time at CJ for nurturing and supporting his passion to focus his career choices to serve the region’s nonprofit sector.
It is tough to see people who are committed to the work of an organization move on, but it is very gratifying to see those same people move on to new careers with strong, positive impacts on the community. Daniel thanked CJ for the work we do and our support of his personal growth. We thank him for the time he committed to making CJ a stronger, more impactful organization.
